Unit Paid Faculty teach additional courses on an as needed basis

The McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia invites applications for a non-tenure track instructional position to teach Brand Management (3 hr. credit) in its MS Commerce program in spring semester 2023. This is a part-time, non-benefited position.

Job Requirements:

Applicants must hold a graduate degree (MS, MBA, Ph.D.) in marketing or a related field, with teaching or industry experience in brand management. The applicant will be required to teach at a high level of quality. The topics and content covered may include the following:

  • Short- and long-term brand strategies (i.e., positioning strategy, brand stretching, etc.)
  • Brand architecture, brand element development, setting the brand marketing mix
  • Global brand management
  • Ethics issues in brand management
  • The use of primary consumer research in all branding decisions

Because of McIntire’s emphasis on collaborative, experiential and interactive learning, the case study method, group assignments and group projects are encouraged.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
