Full Job Description
• Title: Membership and Outreach Manager
• Job Status: Exempt, Regular, Full time
• Salary Range: $45,000 - $62,500
• The Membership and Outreach Manager has lead responsibility for ARHE services that are fieldfacing: different offerings that intersect directly with the collegiate recovery field. Examples include developing opportunities for connection within the field, overseeing the ARHE Advisory Council, managing the website and other methods of communication and outreach, assisting the Business Manager and Membership Administrator oversight of ARHE Membership (benefits, engagement, support, etc.), and working directly with the Executive Director on the growth and development of the organization.

• MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
o Provide direct support to the collegiate recovery field through continued development 
of ARHE resources
o Assist with oversight of ARHE Membership
o Oversight of the Advisory Council 
o Execute ongoing communication strategy through various ARHE channels

• FIELD SUPPORT
o Assess the needs of the collegiate recovery field on a regular basis, using the findings as 
a basis for action
o Support institutions through technical assistance, sharing resources, consultations, 
program offerings, developing materials, and other tasks as needed
o Develop more efficient and effective systems and processes for increasing our support 
of the collegiate recovery field

• MEMBERSHIP
o Assist in development and lead execution of a plan for engaging members in 
opportunities to build their support for ARHE and to advance our programmatic goals
o Communicate key details and create other tools to outreach about our work to our 
membership base
o Work with the Business Manager and Membership Administrator on the continued 
development of the Salesforce system used to manage Membership 

o PROGRAMS
o Assist in the maintaining of current ARHE Programs
o Work with the Executive Director to manage the content and event execution of the 
National Collegiate Recovery Conference, Staff Summit, and other events as needed

• COMMUNICATIONS
o Lead the ARHE Communications Strategy as it pertains to ARHE Membership and 
individuals in the collegiate recovery field
o Develop and execute a plan for converting social networking followers into supporters 
who take action in support of our organization and campaigns

Professional Qualifications:
• A master’s degree is preferred, ideally in an area related to the work of ARHE and collegiate 
recovery (social work, higher education administration, business, etc.)
• Extensive knowledge and experience within collegiate recovery is a must
o 2-5 years experience in a collegiate recovery program is preferred
• Transparent and high-integrity leadership
• Experience managing a programs budget
• Strong organizational abilities including planning, delegating, program development and task facilitation
• Proficiency in the following technological features:
o Zoom
o Salesforce
o Project Development Software
o Office 365, Microsoft Suite products
o Social Media
o Canva
o Vimeo
• Ability to convey details of the field 
• Ability to work collaboratively with volunteer-based Board, Council, and committees
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to engage a broad variety of stakeholder groups
• Experience with staff/intern supervision
