POSITION: Full-time (12-month), non-tenure faculty position. Rank commensurate with education and experience. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: The School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences (SHRS) seeks applicants for a full-time assistant, associate, or full professor biostatistician in the SHRS Data Center (https://www.shrsdatacenter.pitt.edu/). Primary responsibilities include collaborating with rehabilitation clinician scientists and engineers through the provision of research design and analysis expertise, conducting data analyses on large research projects in the health sciences, and teaching in graduate level research methods courses. The faculty position will be core faculty in the SHRS Data Center, reporting to the Director of the SHRS Data Center and Associate Dean of Research and will have a primary appointment in the SHRS Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. Additional opportunities for secondary appointments exist. 

REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must have: an earned doctoral degree in biostatistics, statistics, research methodology or related discipline; experience in collaborating with clinical and/or translational scientists from culturally diverse backgrounds; experience with grant writing and peer-reviewed publications; a record of external funding as principal or co-investigator; and classroom teaching experience. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 3 years of substantial biostatistical, and research methodology experience focused on design and analysis for projects with large, longitudinal, and complex data sets using physiological, clinical, behavioral, neuroimaging, and genomic data.  Experience working with supervised and unsupervised multivariate analyses strongly preferred, as is experience in working with data coordinating centers or clinical trials.
