With towering redwoods across the campus and a redwood forest as a backdrop, College of the Redwoods (CR) has one of the most stunning campuses in the country. DESCRIPTION OF BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Assistant Director of Employer Partnership (ADEP) will work to accomplish three main goals: 1) increase work-based learning opportunities for students, 2) increase job placements of program completers, and 3) improve responsiveness to employers. The ADEP will proactively recruit and connect employers to their local community colleges to partner on workforce development and job placement to respond to employer needs. Working directly with employers, the ADEP will create opportunities for job shadows, classroom presentations, internships, and apprenticeships; convene advisory boards to promote industry-requested program development; market the colleges' career education programs and help employers connect with key campus stakeholders; case manage program graduates to ensure job placement; work with employer human resources departments to determine upcoming job openings; streamline processes for employer engagement with community college students and career education personnel; The ADEP will work with the other ADEPs in the North Far North region to share best practices, provide sector specific expertise when requested, collaborate on projects, seek technology solutions that create work efficiencies and market programs; and leverage resources to scale projects that contribute to accomplishment of the three main goals. The ADEP will work with other Key Talent in the North Far North including K-14 technical assistance providers, K-12 Pathway Coordinators, Guided Pathways Coordinators, and the Center of Excellence to accomplish the three main goals. The ADEP will also work with key constituents from the Coordinating Council to respond to workforce training needs, increase students' opportunities for employer engagement and learning and reduce local unemployment. The successful candidate for the ADEP position will demonstrate knowledge, skills, and abilities in growth mindset, relationship building, project management, industry experience, communication facilitation, grant workplan writing and execution, and outcomes orientation. The ADEP will demonstrate cultural competence in working with a wide diversity of employers, faculty, staff and student the Director of Employer Partnership (DEP) serves the North Far North (Region A). This is a classified administrative, overtime exempt position.CLASSIFICATION: Range 35 on the Administrative Confidential Salary Schedule, 40 hours per week, 12 months per year. Work assignment hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00p.m., Monday through Friday.SUPERVISOR: Assistant Superintendent/Vice President of Economic & Workforce Development or designee at Shasta College.

New Administrative Appointments will be placed at the step 1 on the Administrative Salary Schedule and will graduate to the next step on July 1st of the following year if they have rendered 6 months of satisfactory service, with subsequent steps annually thereafter to a maximum fifth step.
Salary placement would only be negotiable if the candidate held the same position with another community college and step 2 or 3 would be the maximum considered depending on the number of years of service.
