Duties:

Under the supervision of Dean of Career Programs, the Career Programs Project Director, PATH will will be responsible for overseeing, coordinating and supporting grant activities for the PATH grant. Some primary functions of the director will be to develop assessments for students in the grant program along with recruiting, enrolling, and maintaining relationships with the incumbent workforce and low-income, first generation minoritized students that desire to enroll and earn credentials in the Moraine Valley Basic Nurse Assistant and Emergency Technician programs.
The Director will be tasked with working with students throughout the enrollment process and their educational course. The director will work in an intensive academic advising role and make intentional contact with students throughout their educational career. The director will also be responsible for creating, maintain and reporting the data collected throughout this program to the Dean and PATH teams at Moraine Valley and at the State level. The director will have working knowledge of the campus processes and will be able to connect students to other offices within Academic Affairs and Student Development to bring them additional resources and information. They will develop relationships within Moraine Valley and other external navigators to best support the students throughout their academic journey. The director will also have working knowledge of Moraine Valley’s Early Basic Nurse Assistant and Emergency Technician programs and credentials.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities include the following:
1. Manage the PATH grant and all activities associated with the program.
2. Responds to student inquiries about the PATH grant program at Moraine Valley and connect students to resources available to them through the college and the grant.
3. Contributes to the documentation, data collection and preparation of reports as required by
ICCB and the grant.
4. Assists the team in developing methods to track the success of the students entering the program from recruitment to completion of credentials.
5. Ensures proper collection of documentation for providing students with the necessary assistance awarded to them through the grant.
6. Attends recruitment opportunities on and off campus to promote the early basic nurse assistant and emergency technician programs.
7. Travels to organizations with incumbent workers that are interested in learning more about the basic nurse assistant and emergency technician education programs and scholarship opportunities. May also schedule some virtual meetings..
8. Networks with outside Navigators and agency professionals at other institutions in order to serve the students and connect them with other resources.
9. Monitors each student’s progress in the classroom and ensure that the student is continuing on a path to completion.
10. Works with vendors to set-up payment options and to ensure fees are being assessed properly.
11. Attends network meetings and professional development opportunities; as well as other duties as assigned.


Education/Experience:

Master’s degree in college student personnel, higher education, or related field. Minimum three (3) to five (5) years career programs student services management experience.

Experience with diverse student populations and outreach. Experience in grant management and community college experience preferred. Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred

Qualifications:

The Activity Director will have:

  • Knowledge of recruitment and retention
  • Experience with technology application in student services and/or academic affairs;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Good oral and written communication skills;
  • Knowledge of tracking students and collecting data
  • Experience in project, budget, and personnel management and evaluation;
  • Experience in evaluation and research preferred;
  • Plus other duties as assigned.

Monday – Friday
8:00 am to 5:15 pm

Minimum Starting Rate:

$68,015
