Job Overview

Responsible for awarding, monitoring and/or reconciling centrally awarded and athletic scholarships. Develops and coordinates quality assurance programs for the Student Financial Aid Office related to scholarship programs. Reports to Associate Director of Scholarships.

Essential Functions
  • Awards and monitors Cincinnatus and endowed scholarships to ensure accuracy.
  • Communicates with campus partners regarding student eligibility, awarding, and disbursement of awards.
  • Monitors academic progress and completion of community service requirement for Cincinnatus and other UC scholarship renewals.
  • Advises students on scholarship application procedures, award impacts, and renewal processes.
  • Performs reconciliation of scholarships to ensure compliance with UC scholarship policy.
  • Provides regular and ad hoc reports related to fund balances and expenditures.
  • Resolves discrepancies and amends or adjusts awards.
  • Collaborates with Bursar to ensure receipt and proper accounting of paper scholarship checks received and to resolve excess aid and return of scholarships for tuition refund appeals.
  • Awards and monitors athletic awards in coordination with athletic office staff ensuring compliance with NCAA rules and regulations along with federal and state regulations.
  • Develops and implements measures for ensuring accuracy of student awards for scholarship programs.
  • Assists the Associate Director with coordination of departmental activities and events that may arise.
  • Participates in on-going professional development activities.
  • Other duties as assigned including participation in SFAO, Enrollment Management (EM), and Student Affairs and Services (SAS) activities
Required Education
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
Required Experience
  • Three (3) years of relevant experience.
Additional Qualifications Considered
  • Experience with query building and data analysis.
  • PeopleSoft System Experience.

  • Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
