Job Summary
Medical Services at CU Boulder encourages applications for an on-call Dietitian / Nutritionist! This position will be scheduled for approximately 8-20 hours per week initially and will flex with patient demand.

This role delivers comprehensive nutritional services including assessment, education, therapy, plan of care, and the promotion of nutrition health and wellness.

Medical Services staff understand and are committed to the unique health concerns of our student population, making us an unparalleled source of advocacy for student wellness! The Medical Clinic provides a wide range of health care services for students including: primary care for illnesses and injuries, as well as chronic conditions, physicals, sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment, allergy shots, vaccinations, travel health care, and concussion care.


What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Patient Care

• Provide nutrition assessments and education and order appropriate labs per Medical Services (MS) guidelines.
• Complete accurate and timely EHR documentation and charges for all patient interactions.
• Readily seeks appropriate consultations for clients and uses referral process, and collaborates with other health care providers (internal and external).
• Incorporate clinical expertise, patient values, and current best evidence into clinical practice.

Administration, Projects, Outreach

• Participate in policy and procedure developing, drafting, editing, and revising and contribute to quality improvement activities.
• Support campus community outreach programs and events.

What You Should Know

• This is a fully on-site 1% on-call position with no guarantee of hours.
• All University of Colorado Boulder employees are required to follow the campus COVID-19 vaccine requirement.
• New employees are responsible for providing proof of vaccination or receiving a medical or religious exemption within 30 days of employment.

What We Can Offer

• The salary range for this position is $23.10-$26.74/hour.

What We Require

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college.
• Registered Dietitian with credentials from CDR Commission on Dietetic Registration (cdrnet.org).
• BLS Certificate within 3 months of hire.

What You Will Need

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, as well as customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Basic digital literacy including proficiency with Windows-based systems.

What We Would Like You To Have

• 2 years of dietetics or nutrition experience preferred.
• Experience working with patients diagnosed with eating disorders and/or disordered eating.
• EHR experience.
