Job Overview

If so, we have amazing job opportunity that just in the New Student Financial Aid Office Department. We are looking for a Sr. Financial Aid Advisor that oversees study abroad student process and coordinating academic progress of students including making professional judgment decisions regarding student aid eligibility.

The Sr. Financial Aid Advisor for Non-Traditional Enrollment role support and serve as an information resource the Study Abroad Office and students. This role will also be responsible for managing the federally required academic progress review and making professional judgment pertaining to aid eligibility satisfactory academic progress. The Sr Financial Aid Advisor position will ensure delivery of excellent customer service, strong communication, teamwork, and collaboration in contributing to efforts to support and standardize processes and procedures.

This position will offer flexibility for a hybrid remote work option for applicants with a residence within the Cincinnati Tri-State Area. Hybrid remote work arrangements are subject to change in accordance with university policies.

Essential Functions
  • Design, develop and implement financial aid programs for prospective, incoming or current students.
  • Provide individual and/or group counseling to students and/or parents regarding admission/financial aid opportunities and their procedures, etc.
  • Research alternative financial aid sources and their criteria; obtain application and appropriate contact personnel.
  • Monitor award and program fund expenditures and analyze individual student performance to ensure compliance for continued eligibility.
  • Develop and maintain fund database; compile financial aid and other pertinent data for internal and external departments/agencies.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial aid policies and procedures.
  • Represent the university in outreach/recruitment activities (i.e., high school visits, college fairs, or community events and general public).
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.
Required Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
Required Experience

Three (3) years of financial aid experience.

Additional Qualifications Considered
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, prioritize, and follow multiple projects and tasks through to completion with an attention to detail.
  • Experience in query development and reports.
