Job Summary The Athletics Department at the University of Colorado Boulder encourages applicants for the Athletics AV Technical Coordinator position! The primary function of this position is coordinate, setup and operate sound and video related equipment for Special Events at the University of Colorado - Boulder Folsom Stadium and surrounding premium spaces. This position supports all athletic facilities by installing and operating audio and video equipment specific to a given event. Significant expertise is needed along with excellent communication and people skills as this position will work with clients on AV needs and coordinate regularly with the Folsom Events team and Athletic Operations team. This role will also handle some building management duties like opening and closing of facilities. This is an on-call position as schedules will be based on the needs of the Athletics Department and event schedule.This position is responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program. This shall include adhering to the principles of the Athletic Department's Mission Statement, Diversity and Inclusion Mission Statement, Core Values, Policies and Procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the University, the Pac 12 Conference and the NCAA.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
  • Coordinate, setup, and operate sound and video related equipment for events.
  • Provide minor building management and security of the spaces during events.
  • Assist with audio and video needs on gameday's for Football, Basketball, and other CU sports like Soccer, Lacrosse, Track & Field, etc.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating with prospective clients to determine A/V needs for their special event.


What You Should Know
  • This is a fully in-person position.
  • This is an on-call position with no regular set schedule. Employee will need to be available to work events, weekends, and holidays. Work hours will be based on need.
  • All University of Colorado Boulder employees are required to comply with the campus COVID-19 vaccine requirement. New employees must provide proof of vaccination or receive a medical or religious exemption within 30 days of employment.

What We Require
  • Two years of professional experience in the setup, operation and maintenance of complex audio-visual equipment such as: commercial grade sound systems, mixing consoles, audio recorders, video projection, video playback, video switchers, and portable sound systems where the experience has provided knowledge and exposure to various audiovisual production techniques, methods across a variety of live events.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac along with Microsoft PowerPoint and video playback methods is also required.
  • Appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

What We Would Like You To Have
  • Familiarity with Crestron, Dante, and Audio Architect is beneficial.
