Administrative Associate

The University of Tennessee Knoxville, College of Social Work is accepting applications for an Administrative Specialist I. This position supports the DSW Program Director, program faculty, students, and the Associate Dean for Equity and Inclusion.  This position coordinates and performs complex daily activities and operations between the program director, students, faculty, and the Associate Dean for Equity and Inclusion.

The following job functions include, but are not limited to:

    Provide administrative support to the program director including preparing correspondence, answering phones, review and preparing documents, organizing and maintain files, and other administrative duties.Coordination of large-scale DSW and Equity and Inclusion events including event planning and implementation and support to the program director and Associate Dean.Provide direct student support by staying informed of program requirements, disseminating information and processing graduation forms.Provide processing support to the program director and Associate Dean in regards to program budgets.Initiate travel authorizations and reimbursements to ensure forms are routed and approved in accordance with university and departmental policies.


Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION: Applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent in education and experience combined or a minimum of nine years in experience without a degree.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2-3 years recent experience in a professional office environment.

Prefer experience with IRIS, Concur, Slate and Banner

Prefer experience interacting with senior-level personnel in a business or academic environment. 

Experience with data analysis and report compilation.

Familiarity with The University of Tennessee, its policies and procedures is desired.

WORK SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday
