Job Summary

Columbus State University has openings for a Part-time Bus Operator in the Department of Transportation.

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will assume the responsibility of operating buses and vans of various sizes; washing and cleaning buses and vans as required; making extracurricular trips as necessary and performing related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and at least three years of driving experience as a licensed driver. The selected candidate must possess a valid CDL with Passenger Endorsement, Airbrake Certification, and a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) prior to employment; must be physically able to drive and maintain the vehicle; and must attend a defensive driving class. A successful drug screening, physical examination, and background checks (to include criminal background check and driver's history check) will be required as a condition of employment and randomly thereafter.

Proposed Salary

The salary is commensurate with education and experience. This part-time position may work up to 19 hours per week, but is not guaranteed weekly hours.
