Posting Description:

The Department of Bioengineering is seeking to fill an Assistant Research Professor position in the field of engineering education and health disparities at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. The successful candidate will develop research projects related to establishing best practices in student recruitment, retention, and involvement in research and preparation for postgraduate studies.

Specific Position Details

Your primary responsibilities will be to serve as co-Director for the recently funded NIH R25 ESTEEMED research grant. In this role you will recruit and oversee the retention efforts of students for the R25 ESTEEMED grant. Duties will include recruitment of students from the community colleges, assigning peer and faculty mentors, organizing academic year seminar series, teaching in the honors and leadership program, and collecting assessment data.

Faculty in Bioengineering are expected to develop a well-funded research program. You are expected to fund 12 calendar months (100%) of salary through external sources such as research grants.

Salary:

The salary range for this position has been established at $57,000 - $135,000. This is based on 1.0 FTE/100% full time effort. This position will pay $30,000 for 0.3 FTE.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

- At least 3 years of research experience beyond terminal degree
