Position Description:
Under supervision of the Executive Chef and Sous Chef, responsible for providing team leadership and support in the production and/or service of multiple food products from a specified menu. Assign, lead, and monitor the work of others to ensure quality products and service is delivered to the member. Design and set up cooking/buffet stations at catered events according to Banquet and Event orders and member requests. Adhere to all food handling and sanitation guidelines. Follow established timelines for food production as required by the start time of catered events and overall production schedule. Interact with team members and clients in a high-volume catering environment.

The 2010 edition of U.S. News & World Report ranked UCLA as the 24th best university in the nation and 32nd best in the world. In the 2007 edition of U.S. News and World Report, UCLA Medical Center was ranked best in the West, as well as one of the top 3 hospitals in the United States alongside Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Johns Hopkins Hospital. In 15 of the 16 medical specialty areas examined, UCLA Medical Center ranked in the top 20.
