ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF BROADCAST JOURNALISM

POSITION: ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF BROADCAST JOURNALISM

DEPARTMENT: VISUAL, PERFORMING, AND COMMUNICATION ARTS

DIVISION: COLLEGE OF ARTS AND LETTERS

OPENING DATE: JUNE 10, 2022

Johnson C. Smith University is searching for a new tenure track Assistant/Associate Professor of Broadcast Journalism. The ideal candidate will be able to teach broadcast journalism and other media- oriented courses, and have experience with online and in-person teaching. The ability to teach courses in literature and Cultural Studies is a plus.

Responsibilities: Support programs and initiatives of the Division of Academic Affairs and the University’s Strategic Plan. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: An M.A. in journalism or related field and/or broadcast journalism experience; a doctorate is preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
