POSITION: IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN IDEPARTMENT:INFORMATION TECHNOLOGYDIVISION: INFORMATION TECHNOLOGYOPENING DATE: MAY 13, 2022CLOSING DATE: OPEN UNTIL FILLED

Responsibilities: The IT Support Technician I is responsible for supporting members of the campus community with a significant range of Macintosh, Windows and smart device operating system versions through consulting and troubleshooting, installing and providing operational support for a broad range of applications used at Johnson C. Smith, and assisting with technology issues involving application servers, general data backup and restoration, classroom computers, and data projectors. The IT Support Technician I works with other IT staff to provide optimal computer support services to the campus community. This position reports to the User Support Services Manager.

Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in computer technology, management, business or related field supplemented by one to two years of experience in computer technology/technology education, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
