Position Description

This position assists Learning and Engagement, Student Support with providing support to students, faculty and staff.

This is a federal work study position. Interested students should contact the financial aid office via phone or email at 330-494-6170 ext. 4301; studentservices@starkstate.edu prior to applying to determine if they are eligible for Federal Work Study.

Position hours: maximum of 15-20 hours per week between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Position Duties

Responsibilities include general office tasks of greeting students, typing, filing, answering phones, scheduling appointments, data entry, creating documents using Microsoft Word Excel, and Outlook, assembling marketing and presentation materials, and other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience and Licensure/Certification Requirements

Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

Individuals with an interest in the fields of psychology, social work, human and social services, or other related fields are preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required

Requires a high level of professionalism and effective communication skills. Ability to function well in a supportive and multi-tasking environment is essential.
