Department InformationThe Federal Work-study student may work in one of the following Student Services & Success Center departments.
- One-Stop-Shop Student Services & Success Center
- Office of Recruitment and Admissions
- The Center for Academic Advising & Student Success Department
The part-time temporary work-study student will assist the on campus departments with clerical and customer service duties. This position will report to the hiring manager in the assigned department.

Responsibilities- Serves as office receptionist.
- Answers telephones and greet students
- Types general correspondence and filing documents.
- Assists students with general inquiries.
- Mail pick-up and delivery.
- Promotes and stimulates program participations.
- Participates in special programs and/or events
Required Qualifications
- Must be enrolled at Atlanta Metropolitan State College
- Must be eligible for a Federal Work Study Award.
- In academic good standing with a minimum 2.0 Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA)
Shift Specifics
- Flexible work schedule with availability between the hours of 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM Monday through Thursday; 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM Friday
- Prior customer service work experience
- Effective communication (verbal and written), organizational and human relations skills
- Attention to detailed and the ability to work independently and in teams.
- Ability to work well in a diverse and inclusive environment
- Proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office applications software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
