Stanford Graduate School of Business External Relations department seeks a collaborative administrative professional to support the GSB's Business School Fund team as Annual Giving Associate. Reporting to the Director of Annual Giving, this colleague is responsible for a range of administrative and programmatic assignments that assist in managing relationships with GSB alumni, students, donors, and friends, ultimately supporting annual giving fundraising efforts.

The ideal candidate for this position has a strong belief in the importance of philanthropy and is willing to jump in and learn new processes and systems. Strong communication skills and data analytics is a must. Preferably, you are creative, have the ability to think outside the box, take initiative in asking questions and drive projects forward, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Work location is the Graduate School of Business campus. This position is open to a hybrid schedule (working 2-3 days on campus per week).

Your primary responsibilities include:
● Research information about prospects and donors, update records, and generate simple reports using the school database.
● Bring and foster a commitment to promoting and supporting an environment of diversity and inclusion in all project and job responsibilities.
● Design/produce appeals, whitepapers or stewardship pieces as needed.
● Answer questions and resolve inbound requests from alumni, donors, and other university constituents.
● Process gifts using Stanford's Oracle-based Gift Transmittal system, troubleshoot gift and payment issues, and ensure accurate donor record keeping.
● Help maintain team finances through tracking budgets, managing reimbursements and preparing expense reports.
● Assist in the planning and execution of annual giving events and meetings (in-person and virtual), including managing calendar invites and event logistics.
● Support other administrative duties as needed.

To be successful in this position, you will bring:
● High school diploma and four years of administrative experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
● Advanced computer skills and demonstrated experience with office software and email applications.
● Demonstrated success in following through and completing projects.
● Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
● Strong verbal and written communication skills.
● Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and assign work to others.
● Ability to take initiative and ownership of projects.
● Ability to routinely and independently exercise sound judgment in making decisions.

In addition, our preferred requirements include:
● Bachelor's degree and one year relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience.
● Knowledge of database systems.
● Familiarity with Salesforce is desirable.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
● Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
● Frequently sitting.
● Occasionally stand/walk, reach/work above shoulders, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, grasp forcefully, use a telephone, sort/file paperwork or parts, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.
● Rarely twist/bend/stoop/squat, kneel/crawl.
