Posting Summary:

Provide high level business manager level human resources support for the following Dean’s office departments. The Office of Medical Education (OME) (comprising Admissions, Pre-clinical and Clinical Curriculum, The Clinical Simulation Lab, Medical Student Services, The Teaching Academy) and LCOM Office of Public Relations, The MPH Program and the Center for Aging. The responsibilities will include being the first point of contact for HR questions and advice, employee relations, all recruitments (faculty administration, classified staff, temporary hires), classification and compensation, leaves of absences, onboarding, training and professional development.As a shared resource, this position will also provide additional support to the Dean’s Office for all departments/constituents throughout the LCOM, working closely with HR team in LCOM, managing leaves of absence, PeopleAdmin and PeopleSoft support, guidance and resource for the LCOM, advise on general HR questions, staffing high-level national faculty recruitments, covering other department business manager responsibilities during times of need or leaves of absences, and human resources data analysis. Work directly with Dean’s Office HR Director.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree and two to four years of experience with demonstrated leadership/management, financial, technical, and operational experience required.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Effective analytical, reasoning and judgment skills, interpersonal communication, organizational, problem-solving and computer skills required.
  • Advanced spreadsheet, database and reporting skills. Demonstrated ability to use software tools to summarize and manipulate large data sets.

Desirable Qualifications:

Experience as human resource generalist highly desirable. Experience with enterprise systems such as PeopleSoft and PeopleAdmin is desirable. Knowledge of MS Office applications highly desirable
