Job Details
The Wind and Renewable Energy Technology instructor is responsible for the instruction of students in the classroom and the laboratory. The instructor is responsible for providing a quality education for program students and performing instructional-related duties and responsibilities in accordance with the philosophy, mission, policies, and procedures of the Rowan College of South Jersey.
Examples of Duties- Teaches GWO Basic Technical Training assigned courses.
- Facilitates student learning by meeting with and teaching assigned classes in accordance with the college academic calendar and approved syllabi.
- Promotes and supports the value of diversity and cultural sensitivity in all aspects of learning and teaching.
- Uses regular and occasional assessment data to monitor student learning and adjusts teaching methods, accommodating student learning styles and helping them achieve course outcomes.
- Maintains a working knowledge of the technology necessary for the subjects taught and for other college requirements.
- Maintains necessary academic records and submits records according to published deadlines.
- Participates in Global Wind Organization (GWO) trainings.
- Participates in marketing and outreach activities.
- Maintains licenses and certificates required for employment eligibility (GWO credentials).
- Performs other duties, as assigned.
