Job Summary:

Face-to-Face Instruction working with students in variety of courses at Ames Hunziker Center.

Essential Functions:

Assist with checking out books, checking study guides, administering tests, keeping records of the test scores, and preparing and submitting course completions. Keeping the files and desk in order and having the course materials ready and available. Know what courses are required of each student and have the next course readily available.

Able to work in an individualized, self-paced, educational learning environment.

Strong communication skills needed for contact with district officials, parents, and local agencies.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree

Valid teaching license (prefer secondary but not required.)

Desired Qualifications:

Experience working with at risk youth and diverse student populations.

Counseling, special education or alternative education background

Background in English, Math or Science

Work Schedule:

12-16 hrs per week
