Adjunct Faculty Positions in the Wright Institute’s Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology Program

The Wright Institute, located in Berkeley, California, is excited to announce new adjunct faculty positions in the Counseling Psychology Master of Arts Program for in-person instruction at our West Berkeley campus. 

Our Counseling Program provides students with the education and clinical skills necessary to pursue licensure in California as a marriage and family therapist (MFT) or a professional clinical counselor (LPCC). Throughout the two-year curriculum, students attend day, evening, or weekend classes. In their second year, students participate in supervised clinical training at external community mental health agencies. The student population is approximately 180 graduate students ranging in age from 21 to 65 and about 35% identify as Black, Indigenious, or People of Color.

The Wright Institute is currently seeking applicants to join our adjunct faculty team for the Spring and Summer semesters for the 2022-2023 academic year. Courses include Aging and Long Term Care, Clinical Assessment and Measures, Family Therapy, and Research Based Practice. However, applications to teach any of our courses at the adjunct level are warmly welcomed. Qualifications: A masters or doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling Psychology, or related field from an accredited program, licensed to practice in California. Candidates must have experience teaching at the graduate level and expertise with the course subject as well as a commitment to incorporating issues of diversity into all aspects of their work.
