Job Summary: This is a campus only search. The IT Technical Specialist II performs a broad scope of professional IT activities requiring experienced, professional knowledge and application of IT principles, practices and procedures. Usually requires evaluation, originality or ingenuity.

Additional Department Summary: The Public Safety CIR will work to manage information technology needs and resources within Public Safety for the UA community. Will be proactive and innovative in searching out issues and suggesting new ideas or modifications to existing systems. Will provide hands on support and training for end users in UAPD and Public Safety as it pertains to maximizing the use of technology. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve network connectivity and device problems for user workstations, laptops, car cameras, body cameras, security cameras, and other devices. Ensures that numerous business systems within UA Public Safety are supported and maintained. Consults, develops and leads computer-training services for employees within this department in the use of specialized and highly technical business systems.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree; OR Bachelor's degree and one (1) year of IT experience; OR Associate’s degree and three (3) years of IT experience; OR High School Diploma or GED and five (5) years of IT experience. Knowledge of intermediate programming, networking, system, multimedia or instructional technology skills. May require intermediate level training or certification.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.
