Job Description:

This position reports to the Senior Project Manager in the College of Medicine Research Affairs. This position is responsible for web site and calendar updates and electronic directory upkeep for COM Research Affairs. This includes regular communications with content creators, scheduling meetings, typing and editing text and developing multi-media materials. The incumbent in this position performs a broad range of administrative duties in support of the Senior Associate Dean for Research Affairs office and, as such, must present a professional demeanor and attitude, maintain a high level of confidentiality related to sensitive issues, and exercise independent and prudent judgment when completing the tasks and responsibilities associated with his/her duties.

Job duties -

  • Responsible for collecting and editing content for Research Affairs website. Manages files and other relevant materials related to the website. Track updates.
  • Provides editorial support for other communications from COM Research affairs office.
  • Provides editorial support for graphics and multimedia.
  • Assists the Research Affairs staff with the daily operations and administrative and support duties as assigned which may include photocopying and filing services, and preparing reports and minutes of meetings.
  • Helps coordinate the annual COM Celebration of Research to include planning and execution of poster session, keynote speaker and other related activities.
  • Performs other related duties and special assignments as required.
Expected Salary:

$14.00 - $18.00 hourly; commensurate with education and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

High School diploma and one year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience in Wordpress, MS Word, Canva, Adobe Photoshop or other publishing tools.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to track and follow-through on multiple projects in a timely manner.
