The School of Education & Human Development will establish and maintain a pool of Lecturers for future appointments to temporary, part-time, non-tenure-track positions in the Couple and Family Therapy – Counseling Program. Lecturers are limited to two courses per term. This will be a semester-by-semester appointment, with the possibility of renewal. This temporary Lecturer pool is anticipated to remain continuously active through December 31, 2022—at that point, all applications will be cleared from the pool. You are welcome to reapply to the new posting after that date.

The purpose of this posting is to expand our pool of Lecturers available to teach courses. These are temporary, part-time Lecturer positions, as we build our capacity to offer quality instruction to all students in the School of Education and Human Development.
Teaching assignments may fluctuate and are contingent upon the schedule of courses offered each term, the required number of student enrollments in your tentatively scheduled course(s), and budget availability. Thus, we cannot guarantee that you will teach particular courses or that you will actually teach in a given term. Salary and Benefits:
This is a limited part-time at-will appointment.
The hiring rate for this position has been established at $4,500 (increasing to $4,750 beginning in Fall 2022), for a fully enrolled 3-credit course. Please note that under enrolled courses may be canceled and pay is prorated for under enrolled courses that have not been canceled.
The above salary range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
If your appointment in this position continues, you will be notified in writing each term. You will be paid monthly, on the last business day of the month.
This part-time appointment is not
eligible for group health, life insurance, and retirement benefits.
As of January 1, 2021, Lecturer positions will accrue sick leave at a rate of 0.034 hours per hour worked with a maximum accrual of 48 hours per fiscal year (July 1 – June 30).
This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.

Knowledge of Human sexuality and its effect on couple and family functioning. Conceptualizing and implementing treatment, planning, and intervention strategies in marriage, couple, and family counseling. Culturally responsive therapeutic practices. Desired qualifications
