Nature of Work

This full time Postdoc position will support an NIH-sponsored research project. The focus of the project is immune development and involves functional and phenotypic flow cytometric assays, transcriptomics, metabolomics, and microbiome studies. The postdoc will be mentored by Dr. Weinberg and will work collaboratively with senior and junior co-investigators, and research assistants and associates in the Weinberg lab. The postdoc will have the opportunity to work independently and propose studies that complement on-going projects in the laboratory.

  • The work will involve human specimens and may require working with blood-borne pathogens and radioactivity.

  • Salary & Benefits:

    The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $53,760- $65,292.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
  • Doctoral degree in a human biology-related area.

  • Condition of Employment:
    • Must successfully pass a drug test through Children's Hospital Colorado
    • Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check

  • Sterile laboratory techniques
  • Flow cytometry
  • Computer literacy: Office, Statistical Analysis software
  • Ability to compile large datasets, perform analysis and present data
  • Excellent communication organizational skills
  • Ability to work individually as well as part of team

  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent fund of knowledge in human immunology
  • Excellent statistical fund of knowledge
  • Experience with high dimensional flow cytometry and deep sequencing
