.The Anschutz Medical Campus of the University of Colorado and the University of Colorado Cancer Center are recruiting Academic Hematologist/Oncologists for tenure-eligible positions within the Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology.

The University of Colorado Cancer Center is one of only two NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the eight-state Rocky Mountain Region. Headquartered on the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, the CU Cancer Center is a consortium of three state universities and six institutions. Together, the more than 440 members are working to ease the cancer burden through cancer care, research, education, prevention, and control. Additionally, nearly all researchers who participate in cancer-related basic, translational, clinical, population, and behavioral research in Colorado are CU Cancer Center members. This statewide inclusiveness of cancer researchers and academic institutions provides great scientific breadth and depth, strengthening the CU Cancer Center's research.

We are looking for a candidate interesting in the care for patients with hematologic malignancies and general hematology with training and recent background in medical oncology as well. Clinical duties will include outpatient clinics and inpatient rounding at the UCHealth Highlands Ranch Hospital within the larger UCHealth Blood Disorders and Cell Therapies program and the CU Division of Hematology. Clinics are expected to be 2 full days per week and inpatient rounding to be discussed. Additionally, we are seeking candidates interested in advancing medicine through participation and leadership in clinical trials, other types of research, QA activities, teaching and/or programmatic leadership activities, and participation in programmatic, Divisional, and Departmental meetings and activities is expected. Note that the duties and responsibilities assigned to you may change depending upon the Department of Medicine and the Hematology Division's needs.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range (or hiring range) has been established at $186,000 to $220,000.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • MD or MD/Ph.D. degree
  • Board Certified in Internal Medicine
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Hematology or Oncology or both
  • Eligible for Colorado state medical license
  • Experience in clinical cellular immunotherapies

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Clinical/Clinic Trials/Translational Research experience in hematology

Competencies:
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
  • At least a working knowledge of research laboratory issues in cellular immunotherapies and working collaboratively with basic and translational laboratory researchers.
  • Demonstrated commitment and leadership ability to advance diversity and inclusion.
