The University of Colorado's Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology in the Department of Medicine, located at the Anschutz Medical Campus, is an internationally renowned program that provides comprehensive resources for the diagnosis and therapy of diseases of the digestive tract, pancreas and liver. The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology has faculty and staff making contributions to research, clinical trials, and nationally recognized patient care. Gastroenterology & GI Surgery is one of the top ranked in the United States and our clinical partner, the University of Colorado Hospital, and is in the top hospitals nationwide as ranked by U.S. News and World Report. The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology is rapidly growing, with clinical practices throughout the state of Colorado and over 80 researchers, physicians and staff, all working toward its vision to prevent and treat disease while being a global model for patient care delivery, interdisciplinary research, and training. The Division of GI and Hepatology plays an integral role in the multidisciplinary care provided to patients with biliary and pancreatic disorders and premalignant/malignant disorders of the GI tract.. This collaborative team is looking for an associate to expand the clinical services and research endeavors.

As an important member of the clinical team, this physician will have outpatient clinical responsibilities, including clinic consultations and endoscopic procedures, inpatient attending, and teaching duties. This individual will work closely with a multidisciplinary team that will include GI, surgery, and other specialties.

This position communicates appropriately and effectively with study subjects, investigators, and other team members and has outstanding customer service skills and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Individuals with a strong research interest in pancreatic disorders are encouraged to apply.

Examples of Work Performed
    Evaluation and treatment of patients with biliary and pancreatic disorders and premalignant/malignant disorders of the GI tract. Complex interventional endoscopy including: All aspects of ERCP/EUS Advanced resection
Participate in citizen requirements of division and section including, but not limited to: Teaching GI fellows and interventional endoscopy fellows. Teaching GI fellow continuity clinic. Presenting at GI grand rounds.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at 300,000k to 400,000K.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
    5 year(s) of post fellowship experience A medical degree from an accredited institution. Board certification in Internal Medicine Board certified in Gastroenterology 1 year of interventional endoscopy fellowship Must have, or be eligible to obtain, an active State of Colorado medical license Must have an active DEA license on or before hire date Must have a record of scholarship, teaching, and service sufficient to be appointed as an assistant professor or higher at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus

Preferred Qualifications
    Expertise in interventional endoscopy techniques, interventional EUS/Hepatology, 3rd space endoscopy, and advanced resection techniques sciplinary team that will include GI, surgery, and other specialties. Experience working in an academic medical center Experience with teaching fellows
