Job Overview

The Office of Student Conduct & Community Standards (OSC&CS) promotes a scholarly community by helping students understand their rights and responsibilities throughout the Student Conduct Process. We encourage student learning, growth, and accountability through a fair and equitable process that provides students with a safe and supportive environment to develop into holistic and global citizens. The University of Cincinnati, Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards, is seeking applicants for the Assistant Director of Student Conduct & Community Standards (AD of SC&CS). The Assistant Director of Student Conduct & Community Standards (AD of SC&CS) is a full-time, 12-month position, which will involve some evening and weekend commitments.

Essential Functions
  • Assist in the adjudication and investigation of student, student group, and student organization behavior(s).
  • Serve as the primary liaison to the College Conduct Administrators – staff in each academic college who are responsible for addressing academic misconduct violation(s).
  • Coordinate hearing board selection and training,
  • Develop and implement ongoing training for hearing board members
  • Administer and analyze assessment data from the office
  • Work in concert with the Director in design and implementation of educational sanction(s),
  • Maintain written documentation for a student’s conduct record,
  • Review, analyze, and prepare data for Student Conduct End of the Semester Reports.
  • Participate in ongoing evaluation of the Student Conduct Program, provide recommendations for improvements, and recommend revisions to the Student Code of Conduct to reflect national best practices.
  • Adapt to changes deemed necessary to meet the evolving needs of the office.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with five(5) years experience; -OR-Associate's degree with seven (7) years experience; -OR-nine (9) years experience. Degree must be in a related field; experience must be related.
  • Experience also requires at least three (3) years supervision.
Additional Qualifications Considered
  • Master’s Degree in Higher Education or related field strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in a college and/or university setting.
  • Experience working with students, staff, faculty, and community members of diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience in assessment development & administration, and data analyze.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Title IX, Title IX Adjudication, the Violence Against Women Act, and the Jeanne Clery Campus Security Act.
  • Experience reviewing and determining appropriate next steps for university incident reports.
  • Experience investigating and adjudicating student group and organization conduct cases.
  • Experience supervising undergraduate and graduate student staff.

Competitive salary range of $50,132 - $52,020 dependent on the candidate's experience.
