Job Overview

The College of Education, Criminal Justice, Human Services, and Information Technology (CECH) is seeking an Associate Director for our new Program Accelerator. The Associate Director will facilitate conversations and processes around policies and procedures for curricular proposals and modifications with academic units. The person in this position will provide administrative leadership, oversight, and serve as an expert resource for faculty as they work through these program approval processes. The Associate Director will partner with Marketing Services to conduct market research and provide insights to faculty as they think about curricular development and program revisions.

The Associate Director will also serve as the college expert for UC’s curriculum database, maintaining accurate major maps and reviewing submissions for errors, consistency, branding, and search engine optimization.

The Associate Director must be collaborative and have strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills, as well as demonstrated experience with project management. Must be able to lead processes and projects, and work well on a team and independently.

This position is eligible for up to 40% remote work. Remote work arrangements are subject to change in accordance with university policies.

Essential Functions
  • Program Development- Guide faculty through college, university, and state processes for program modification and new program approvals; Advise and assist academic units on policies and procedures for the submission of curricular proposals and changes; Oversee the operational aspects of program initiatives including the design and redesign of program curriculum; Facilitate communications and track all information, activities, tasks, outcomes, status and resources related to program initiatives; Provide administrative leadership, oversight and serve as an expert resource for faculty and staff when it comes to program development; Collaborate with program coordinators and faculty to identify data-informed curricular revisions; Identify opportunities for program development (new programs, courses, specializations, microcredentialing, etc.) based on needs assessment data and market research; Develop and update articulation agreements for undergraduate and graduate programs.
  • Curricular Maintenance- Support and proofread curriculum database submissions and updates, and review for consistency, branding, and search engine optimization; Audit and update program major maps; Navigate Financial Aid approvals for certificate programs.
  • Partner Communications & Relationships- Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders and university partners; Facilitate communication among college programs, advising, marketing, and recruitment; Coordinate cross-college communication regarding curriculum.
