The Department of Dermatology in the College of Medicine is seeking an clinical faculty position for the teaching of resident and fellow providers in the clinical setting and in procedural clinical settings. Salary and rank are commensurate with experience.

A member of faculty at the University of Cincinnati is expected to teach, conduct research, scholarly and other professional or creative activities. This position will support the University of Cincinnati’s mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff, and all of our activities.

Essential Functions

The candidate will demonstrate an advanced level of medical knowledge, with the ability to evaluate, diagnose, and provide treatment for skin cancer through the use of Mohs microsurgical techniques. Candidate must demonstrate clinical and technical competence, sound clinical judgement, professionalism, and compliant and timely documentation. Candidate will also teach residents, medical students and fellows in both the clinical and didactic settings.

Minimum Requirements
  • Candidate should have a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine.
  • Candidates must have completed an accredited Dermatology Residency, completed an accredited Fellowship in Micrographic (Mohs) Surgery, and be board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Dermatology.
  • A minimum of one (1) year in an academic setting or equivalent teaching and research experience is also required.
Additional Qualifications Considered
  • Demonstrated interest and accomplishment in Dermatology clinical patient care.
  • Preference will be given to an individual with demonstrated leadership skills.
  • A chief residency or teaching fellowship position is preferred.
  • Demonstration of interest and accomplishment in clinical teaching of medical students and residents.
