The staff are responsible for supporting an employed population of 88 senate faculty, 75 staff (career and limited), 30 non-senate academics, and 190 student employees (graduate and undergraduate). https://socialecology.uci.edu/ Under the general supervision of the School of Social Ecology's Personnel Director, provide administrative support and operational analysis to the School's academic personnel programs, and serve as a School resource for payroll and personnel information. Serve as the Department Time Administrator (DTA) for the Time Reporting System (TRS), the school's resource on Academic Student Employment, and one of two primary initiators into the UCPath system. Compensation Range: $25.57-$35.30 Department Website:

Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team, to exercise sound judgment and discretion in working with sensitive and highly confidential matters. Skill in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal direction. Intermediate mathematical skills. Ability to maintain the confidentially of student, faculty, and staff personnel and financial information. Problem solving, problem identification and reasoning skills. Working knowledge of organizational processes, procedures, and understands organizational rules and regulations. Ability to intertrep University policies and procedures. Demonstrated skill in maintaining accurate and complete filing systems. Working knowledge of many payroll processes, policies, and procedures; knowledge of organization-specific computer application programs. To include Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel, and Google suite. Demonstrate ability to prioritize assignments when faced with heavy workload, deadlines, and competing requests for service. Demonstrated judgment and decision-making skills; verbal, written and active listening communication skills. Uses interpersonal skills and service orientation skills in interactions with customers and colleagues. Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task. Preferred: Knowledge and applied experience of university accounting standards utilizing proper accounting forms; knowledge of financial documents required for corrections, allocations and fund management, purchasing procedures, accounting ledger system and payroll system. Working knowledge of UC Staff and Academic Personnel, Payroll Policies, Procedures, and collective bargaining contracts. Working knowledge of a wide range of concepts, principles, and practices of campus administration as well as skill in applying this knowledge to the development of human resource related issues.
