Position Summary:Prairie State College seeks experienced adjunct faculty to teach Millwright courses starting Fall 2022. Successful candidates will have a desire to engage a diverse student population in various levels of Millwright/Maintenance studies. Specific courses include MILL 101- Maintenance techniques which includes fasteners, gaskets, and theory. MILL 102 Maintenance techniques II which includes gears, bearings, seals, chain drives. Successful candidate will have flexible teaching schedule. Classes meet one day a week for eight to sixteen weeks; evenings M-Th and daytime sections are open.
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, industrial technology, or industrial education with an emphasis in the field taught and three (3) years of successful work experience in the field; or
Associate’s degree in the field and five (5) years of successful work experience in the field; or
Journeyman’s status in the field and seven (5) years of successful work experience in the field.
