Description
Envision yourself in a collaborative, inclusive, and innovative work environment that has a deep commitment to position our graduates for success in their professional and personal lives. Visualize applying your energy and skills for an organization that respects and cares about its employees enough to offer some of the best benefits of the industry while encouraging every team member to grow, collaborate, and provide input on how to consistently make the workplace a place people love to work. Imagine working at a college that welcomes everyone — students, faculty, staff, and community members — regardless of their backgrounds, beliefs, or traditions. If what was just described is what you look for in a workplace, welcome to the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS)

The Lyda Hill Institute for Human Resilience at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs is seeking a full time Project Coordinator to support its National Child Trauma Workforce Development Institute (NCTWI) project funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

The NCTWI, established in 2016, is a member site of the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN). The purpose of the NCTWI is to address the need for trauma knowledge in the national mental health workforce, including Psychology and Child Psychiatry trainees and other child serving mental health and community service providers by expanding the use of the Core Curriculum on Childhood Trauma (CCCT or Curriculum), an evidence-based trauma education curriculum. The NCTWI will pursue and expand on its multidimensional trauma education initiatives using a combination of national, regional, and discipline-specific activities. Their activities will include the provision of training, consultation, and technical assistance to disseminate the Curriculum throughout the mental health and child serving workforce, simultaneously training new facilitators of the Curriculum, collaborating with expert panels (Psychology expert panel, Child Psychiatry training program leaders, and a Stakeholder Advisory Group), promoting integration of trauma education within Psychology and Child Psychiatry training programs, and developing new trauma training products and evaluation tools.

The Lyda Hill Institute for Human Resilience was founded in March 2020 with an $8 million matching grant from the Lyda Hill Philanthropies Foundation. The Institute's mission is to advance human resilience to adversity by designing evidence-based solutions through interdisciplinary research, healing therapies, and community training and education. The Institute's vision is to serve as the national model in resilience-based trauma research, healing, and community empowerment solutions.

NCTWI is seeking applications for a full time Project Coordinator position. Reporting to the Project Co-Director, the Project Coordinator will assist in project management, planning and implementation of all project activities to achieve the specified results, preparing for and coordinating training events and supporting grant administration. The Project Coordinator will be an integral part of the Institute team, working both independently and in collaboration with project team members, and other internal and external stakeholders.

This position is 100 percent remote. Needs to be flexible with working due to collaborations across the United States. Some travel may be expected.
