invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Comparative Politics beginning August 2023. Successful candidates will have research and teaching experience in Comparative Politics and International Relations. Special consideration will be given to candidates whose research and teaching interests relate to a regional specialization in East Asian Politics, or other relevant regional specializations. The successful candidate will be required to teach our introductory course in Global Politics as well as our upper division course in Comparative Politics. They will further be expected to teach courses in their geographical area of expertise. The successful candidate will teach both in person and online courses. Typically, on-site; position may be partially remote, based on the semester-to-semester need of the department, as determined by the supervisor.
Remote work may be available for emergency events. This will be offered based on the emergency and allowance will come from leadership and the guidelines provided at the time of the emergency.
This position has been determined to be exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). What We Offer: Salary Range:
Generally starting at $61,500- $64,500 per academic year.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to move. Employee is occasionally required to have long periods of sitting, moderate energy requirements. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
