Temple University's Office of Sustainability is searching for a Sustainability Coordinator.

Reporting to the Sustainability, Senior Manager, and enlisting best practices within the field, the Sustainability Coordinator is responsible for developing sustainability programming throughout the university; coordinating outreach and capacity-building activities with students, faculty, and staff; providing support for new sustainability initiatives on campus; and assisting in the completion of institution-wide sustainability reporting. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree is required and a minimum of three (3) years of comprehensive experience in sustainability, community organizing, or education. Experience coordinating projects and/or developing programming related to sustainability issues. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required skills and abilities:
*Demonstrated ability to promote sustainable practices and sustainability principles to increase understanding, foster collaborative educational experiences, and promote behaviors consistent with local-global sustainability.
*Ability to oversee and implement a communication strategy for the Office of Sustainability, including the development of a monthly newsletter, maintenance of the website, and the office’s social media presence.
*Demonstrated ability to coordinate sustainability programs.
*Ability to develop, manage and expand sustainability programs to promote Temple’s Climate Action commitment.
*Knowledge of sustainability concepts, practices, and standards.
*Excellent communication skills.
*Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of programming.
*Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to foster a collaborative work environment. 
*Demonstrated organizational skills and abilities in managing timelines.
*Demonstrated strong analytical skills.
*Ability to support the Sustainability Manager in the implementation and administration of Temple’s EcoReps program.
*Ability to work independently and innovatively with minimal direction.
*Performs other related duties as assigned.

Preferred:
*Experience working with sustainability or environmental programs in higher education.
*Experience with data analysis.
This position requires a background check.
