Job Description:

Performs turf mowing functions on commercial zero-turn mowers. Operates large farm type tractors with implements such as mowers, spreaders, edger’s, tillers, leaf sweepers, etc., used in turf and landscape maintenance in a safe and efficient manner.

Performs grounds maintenance tasks in assigned work areas. Drives state vehicles that requires a Class E driver’s license.

Performs and documents equipment safety checks. Assists mechanic in servicing assigned equipment.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Work hours 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday

Employee must process and maintain GIDMP Certification

Class E driver’s license

Expected Salary:

$16.00 Hourly

Minimum Requirements:

Completion of 9th grade education

GIBMP Certified

Preferred Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent Two years experience in running mowers and tractors

One year experience in running mowers and tractors

Knowledge of proper landscape maintenance practices

Must be able to operate a vehicle pulling a trailer safely
