Job Summary

The Federal Work-Study student assistant will assist the Office of the Registar with clerical duties and providing excellent customer service. This position will report to the hiring manager of the specific hiring department.

Responsibilities
  • Assists with day-to-day office responsibilities.
  • Answers telephones and greet students
  • Types general correspondence and files documents.
  • Assists students, visitors, staff and faculty with general inquiries.
  • Run errands across campus such as mail pickup and delivery.

Required Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled at Atlanta Metropolitan State College
  • In good academic standing with at least a 2.0 cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA)
  • Must be eligible for a Federal Work Study Award.

Shift Specifics

  • Flexible work schedule between the hours of 8:30 am - 6:00 pm Monday through Thursday and 8:30 am - 12:30 pm Friday
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous customer service experience
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Excellent Customer Service skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Effective communication (verbal and written), organizational and human relations skills
  • Ability to work well in a diverse and inclusive environment
  • Proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office applications software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
  • Knowledgeable of online communication platforms (Teams, Zoom, WebEx, etc.)
