Duties and Responsibilities:

Loyola University Chicago’s Quinlan School of Business invites applications for a tenure-track/tenured position in the Finance Department. This appointment, starting Fall 2023, may be made at the Assistant or Associate Professor level depending on qualifications.

Fields of Emphasis: All areas in finance are welcome, with a strong preference in Fintech. This includes new technologies that seek to improve the delivery and use of financial services, such as AI, blockchain, cloud computing and big data.

The position’s main responsibilities include:

Research: Candidates will be expected to publish in well-regarded academic journals. Quinlan values high quality research, research that spans multiple disciplines and research that promotes the University’s mission. Current data subscriptions include CRSP, Compustat and WRDS.

Teaching: Candidates will teach both undergraduate and graduate courses.

Service: Faculty serve on School and University committees, participate in department governance and advise/mentor students.

Qualified applicants should also demonstrate teaching effectiveness and innovative approaches to finance education.
