Senior Fee Control ClerkA Service operation that provides parking in support of academic, athletic, special events, and public service programs on the campus of The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. The general purpose of the Senior Fee Control clerk is to manage parking areas by issuing permits, verify and revise of on-line computer records for citation violations issued by the U.T. Police, posting and reconciling of on-line account payments.



Qualifications
Job Function/Responsibilities:

- Post and reconcile on-line staff, student and visitor account payments.

- Verify and revise computer records for citation violations issued by the U.T. Police.

- Distribute parking permits to staff, students, vendors, service providers and visitors to the university.

- Reconcile on-line computer totals and cash register details of sales for day.

- Prepare Daily Cash Summary Report for Treasurers office.

- Facilitate telephone customers by providing information or routing call to requested party.

- Audit, balance and release batch totals of commercial credit card validations machine.

- Filing of citations and forms used in assignment of parking.

- Registration and sale of student parking permits each semester.

- Manage parking areas by issuing permits

- Facilitate walk-in customers at the cashier window.

- Resolve disputed on-line staff & student accounts.

- Interact with the Bursar's office to insure account accuracy for customers.

- Registration of staff emeritus parking permits upon request at retirement

- Research customer account information for Admissions Office regarding balance and status of account.

- On-line process of incoming impounded vehicles.

- Prepare logs and route incoming mail.

- Process towed vehicle payments which were paid for after hours in absence of responsible cashier.

- Posting and reconciling of on-line payments in absence of responsible cashier.

- Process payment received through mail for citations issued by the U.T. Police in absence of responsible cashier.

- Query information for the U.T. Police regarding citations and impounded vehicles.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Computers
  • Skills to run the operation parking programs
  • Ability to multi-task and keeps records
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • A thorough knowledge and understanding of parking regulations and policies as well as the physical lay out of campus Prior work experience should include experience with customer service, public relations, computers and supervision. Three (3) years of experience Knowledge of Campus
  • Computer Skills
Required level/type of experience and/or years of experience:

  • Required regular Drivers license
  • Computer Skills
Preferred level/type of experience and/or years of experience:

  • Prefer 3 years in an office setting and some experience with a university setting.
