Laboratory Safety Technician - BiologicalThe Laboratory Safety Technician supports the biological and chemical safety programs in laboratories and shops on campus. Key activities include supporting the organization and execution of lab inspections, performing equipment checks, performing data organization and assisting with hazardous materials management.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High school diploma or GED required. Associates degree preferred.Experience: 1-2 years on-the-job experience in promoting workplace safety requirements.Job Skills:
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse demographicAbility to apply critical thinking skillsGood oral and written communication skillsStrong learning orientationMust be competent in MS Office to include Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of studySafety-related certification
