Job Summary
The Student Experience & Communications Manager is responsible for designing and implementing a year-long plan of engaging and network-building student experiences for the Isenberg School of Management’s graduate programs.
Essential Functions
- Oversee communication campaigns to graduate students in each of Isenberg’s graduate programs.
- Develop a communication plan for student-targeted workshops and events. Create timelines and decide on communication platforms and target audience.
- Design and update the Graduate Program’s website with student-centric events and resources.
- Collaborate with the Director of Marketing Strategy & Communications, the Office of Career Success, and graduate program staff on communication campaigns and plans.
- Stay up to date on UMass communication and marketing policies, procedures, branding, and resources.
- Coordinate with Isenberg event planners to secure venues and manage all logistics for workshops, networking events, and special events such as commencement.
- Prepare event materials.
- Manage registration process for in-person and online events. Maintain registrant database.
- Develop outreach plan to increase event attendance.
- Generate summaries of participants for reporting and planning purposes.
- Administer post-event evaluations and provide a summary of the results to the program directors.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure)
- Bachelor’s degree in any field (business, communications, media, journalism, marketing, public relations, events management, information technology, or computer science preferred) and at least one (1) year of professional administrative experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong initiative and ability to work well independently.
- Ability to organize multiple projects and set priorities.
- Ability to think creatively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with a diverse population of faculty and staff.
Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure)
- Experience supervising staff or students.
- Experience working with a CRM system, such as Salesforce and Marketing Cloud.
- Experience in website content management software, preferably Drupal.
- Ability to produce high quality graphics (Adobe Suite, Illustrator, or InDesign).

- Monday - Friday, 8:30 am -5:00 pm.
