POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Director, the Talent Management Coordinator’s primary focus is to provide full cycle recruitment services to the clients of the Professional Faculties HR Office including Architecture, Information, Law, Music, Nursing and Social Work for a range of unionized and non-unionized positions. Their goal is to hire and retain top quality talent that is broadly reflective of the community and to ensure that our recruitment practices are fair, equitable, pro-active and transparent.

EDUCATION:
University degree with a specialization in Human Resources or an equivalent acceptable combination of education and experience. Certified Human Resources designation preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Three years’ experience managing full-cycle recruitment and experience preferably in a post- secondary setting
  • Highly successful experience sourcing diverse pools of qualified candidates
  • Experience writing clear and compelling job postings and effective interview questions
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, applicant tracking systems and LinkedIn
  • IT savvy, including a facility for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with databases and web-based applications
  • Professional and polished presenter, with exceptional oral, written communication and active listening skills
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational and project management skills and the ability to deliver high quality work while managing competing deadlines
  • Strong relationship management and networking skills
  • Self-directed and a motivated team player
  • Must have an excellent client service orientation and demonstrate initiative, diplomacy and discretion
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both in a consultative team environment and independently
  • Ability to interact with senior managers and academic administrators in a manner that generates their attention and respect, facilitates cooperation and achieves consensus
  • Ability to quickly grasp requirements of collective agreements and recruitment policies and practices of the University of Toronto
  • Ability to manage competing demands, accept feedback, and be adaptable and flexible
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
