Job Description:


Raritan Valley Community College has an anticipated opening for a Part-Time Student Aide for our Technology Services Department.


Duties & Responsibilities:

Meet the needs of faculty, staff, and students who visit the help desks on campus.

Answer the help desk phones.

Respond to the help desk email.

Use SmartView ticketing system to create and update help desk tickets, and to track assigned work.

Visit faculty and staff offices to provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for RVCC-issued computers and laptops.

Image computers for rapid deployment in offices, and in computer labs.

Ensure that the computer labs, including the computers, printers, and projectors, are operational.

Additional tasks as assigned by full-time staff.



Requirements:


Plans to be an RVCC credit student taking at least 6 credits for at least the next two semesters: Fall/Spring or Spring/Fall semesters.

Basic Windows Operating System.

Basic Microsoft Office.

Knowledge of iOS and/or Android on Smart Phones.

Good problem solving skills.

Good verbal and written communication.

Good customer service.

Basic Macintosh Operating System a plus.

Note: For applicants who wish to take CSIT 292-01 Cooperative Education, Technology Services will coordinate this course during the student's second semester working at the Help Desk.
