Requires are least a high school diploma or equivalent. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

Position Summary:

Job duties will include, but are not limited to:
Mowing grass with zero turn, stand up, walk-behind and push-type lawnmowers. Weed-eating turf edges, large areas, hillsides, and lake edges. Edging curbs, roads, sidewalks, and other areas. Trimming trees, bushes, hedges, and other landscaped areas. Picking up, grinding limbs, and working with a Brush Bandit chipper, or similar equipment. Hand stacking rip-rap stone and other type landscaping rock. Spreading pine straw, wheat straw, and grass seed. Lining and painting football fields. Knowledge of proper use of chainsaws and other related equipment. Will climb onto roofs (using a ladder) to blow off roofs and clean gutters on all buildings. Spraying chemicals to control weeds, insects, etc. Assist with center trash collection, building set up and breakdowns as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies:

Familiar with all types of lawn mowers, weed trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, and backpack sprayers. Experience with mixing and spraying all types of chemicals from weed killers to insecticide. Familiar with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and Propane gas.

Dependable, courteous, and have good communication skills.

Physical Demands:

Working in extreme weather conditions and complete work-related tasks in such conditions. Work on roofs and on ladders. Driving as needed to perform job tasks.
