Assistant Professor of Clinical Family & Community Medicine

The Southern Illinois University Center for Family Medicine is seeking interested individuals to fill a faculty position at the Assistant Professor level.  This position will provide comprehensive primary care duties within the federally qualified health center located in Springfield, IL, and must be willing to practice and participate in the inpatient family medicine call rotation. Teaching opportunities will include working with medical students, physician assistant students and family medicine residents through the SIU School of Medicine.  Qualified applicants must possess an MD degree, must have graduated from an accredited residency training program at time of hire, be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine at time of hire, must be licensed in the State of Illinois at time of hire, and sensitive to the needs of underrepresented minority populations.  Competitive salary and fringe benefits.  For more position-specific information, and to complete the on-line application materials, visit our website at:  http://www.siumed.edu/hr
