Media and Communication Director
The Gupta College of Science at Coastal Carolina University invites applications for a full-time Media and Communication Director.

Duties include but are not limited to:· responsible for all digital communication for the college in consultation with the Office of the Dean;· provides oversight over Gupta College of Science web presence;· supervises a part-time employee plus student workers to ensure that the college web site is updated and optimized, and monitors upgrades to content management system;· provides direct and/or indirect support to specialized web and digital media projects;· maintains and coordinates digital and web presence of press;· assists with college-level projects that require specialized multimedia and/or production services;· provides direct support, coordination, and supervision towards the creation and publishing of print and digital materials for the college in consultation with the Office of the Dean; and· performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
: A bachelor’s degree and professional experience related to the development and dissemination of informational material is required. Prior experience in marketing, advancement, or communication is preferred.

Public Information Director I (BC30/61122220/FTE-S00669P), full-time position with benefits. SC Pay Band 06. Salary range: $43,030.00 (minimum) – $61,323.00 (midpoint). Normal work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.

Required Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree and professional experience related to the development and dissemination of informational material.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in marketing, advancement, or communication is desirable.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge and experience with current web design, best practices, and principles. Knowledge and experience with social media platforms and how to use these platforms to disseminate information. Knowledge and experience with a variety of communication platforms and digital software and including, but not limited to,Microsoft Teams, email, Microsoft products including Microsoft Teams, and Adobe products including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Knowledge and experience with photography. Ability to effectively and accurately communicate orally and through the written word. Ability to establish good rapport and provide accurate and timely responses to the public via print, social media, and web platforms. Ability to understand and maintain agency brands and the accurate deployment of those brands in various marketing collateral outputs. Ability to coach subordinate staff.
