Position Title:

Administrative Associate

Position Description:

Rider University’s Student Accessibility & Support Services Office seeks an Administrative Associate to provide administrative support to assigned staff. Individual will: assist with the day-to-day operation of the Student Accessibility & Support Services Office exercising initiative and judgment with respect to urgency, relative importance and confidential status of messages, correspondence and student information; maintain strict confidentiality in all matters regarding students and professors; and provide input on ways to maintain and improve current procedures to match the needs of the office.

Position Requirements:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent is required with 2-4 years of related work experience preferred.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of standard office equipment
  • Computer proficiency is required with an emphasis on Google Workspace, Word, spreadsheets, and data management skills
  • Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to operate independently, prioritize and organize own work schedule, multi-task, and meet established deadlines
  • Excellent recordkeeping and organization skills
  • Ability to represent the program to diverse customers
  • Computer literate and competent in software programs such as Word, Excel, Adobe, and Banner
  • Must be able to take initiative in learning new software programs or upgraded versions of existing programs

Position Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

  • Associate’s degree
  • An interest/experience with creating various accessible forms and documents
