Duties & Responsibilities- Use ab initio electronic structure software to characterize interaction of small molecules with extended molecular systems Develop and implement new computational algorithms for using localized functions for embedding subsystemsDevelop new theoretical models for transfer of energy and information across subsystem boundaries Analyze and interpret obtained data as a member of a cross-disciplinary teamDraft manuscripts for publication and proposals for external grantsPresent research data at academic seminars and conferencesMaintain interoperability of new computer codes with existing
- Highly self-motivated and enthusiastic in researchCapable of working independentlyGood oral and written communication skillsEffective interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and studentsAbility to mentor junior team members
- Ph.D. in chemistry, physics, materials science or a related field
- Successful completion of criminal history records check.
