Work Schedule:

10-15 hours per week.
Student schedule must be flexible to work between Monday-Friday 8 am-5 pm.
This position will work on campus and be ready to work remotely (if needed).

Job Description Summary:

Responsible for proctoring exams for students registered with Accessibility Services at the University of La Verne, coordinating proctoring schedule, processing proctor-related forms and test accommodation documents, and assisting with other aspects of Accessibility Services.

Specific Duties:

  • Proctoring exams for students registered with Accessibility Services.
  • Coordinating proctor and exam list schedule.
  • Assisting with Accessibility Services programming efforts.
  • Assist in creating flyers/newsletter and general marketing of Accessibility Services to students and faculty/staff.
  • Track data and usage of accommodations across campuses, assist in implementation of workshops related to test taking strategies etc.
  • Organizing, sorting, processing paperwork, and/or copying materials.
  • Collecting and tracking data on student communications, interactions, and success strategies.
  • Assisting Accessibility Services department in various projects and initiatives.
  • Monitoring and notifying the Director of Accessibility Services of any escalated issues.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned, including other administrative duties.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A dependable, computer proficient student who is able to follow directions and complete assigned work in a timely manner.
  • Must be able and willing to handle data and material in a confidential manner.
  • Excellent phone etiquette, listening and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook and Google Drive.

Benefits Summary:

Employees are eligible for the following benefits:

One hour of Paid Sick Leave for every 30 hours worked, with a maximum accrual of 24 hours of Paid Sick Leave per year and capped at 48 hours.

University of La Verne Defined Contribution Retirement Plan – can contribute employee voluntary contributions, excluding wages derived from federal work study funds.

In accordance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA), employees who work an average of 30 or more hours per week, will be eligible for medical coverage through the University of La Verne.

Covered under the University of La Verne Workers Compensation Insurance.
